Our executive team recently had the pleasure of attending the Seattle Business Leaders in Health Care Awards Gala, and I am so proud to share that InDemand received the Gold Award for Achievement in Medical Technology. More than 20 of Washington’s most accomplished health care leaders were honored at the magazine’s 2018 Leaders in Health Care Awards event on March 1. Our team was thrilled to be among many of the Washington health care leaders and recognized for our commitment to supporting providers and patients in facilitating better care.
The award recognized organizations that are pioneering the effort to advance healthcare in Washington—from Central Washington Hospital, part of Confluence Health, the healthcare organization in Wenatchee where InDemand VRI was first implemented, to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everette, where VRI is available system-wide—it was an honor to be recognized alongside our peers, clients and the state’s health leaders.
As Leslie Helm, Executive Editor of Seattle Business magazine, stated, “In this time of great turmoil in the health care industry, it’s more important than ever to recognize the institutions and individuals who are doing so much to make Washington state among the best places in the nation to receive health care.”
We take pride in the fact that our VRI devices are used throughout many Washington healthcare facilities. A few of those include: Swedish Medical Center, Seattle Children’s, MultiCare Health System, Confluence Health, International Community Health Services and many others who are connecting patients and caregivers immediate access to our medically qualified interpreters.
These awards remind us that we are moving in the right direction, and every InDemand team member plays a significant role in building our award-winning organization. Every single day, we are dedicated to bridging the communication gap between clinicians and their limited English proficient, Deaf and hard of hearing patients. We believe it is absolutely vital to provide every patient with access to high quality patient care regardless of language, cultural background or disability. I’m so proud to be a part of this organization, and I look forward to seeing what we accomplish next!
