InDemand Interpreting Improves Clinical Workflow for VRI, Introduces First of Its Kind Barcode Scanning Solution at AONE 2018

InDemand is the first VRI provider to deliver MRN scanning at the point of care, streamlining clinical workflow for accessing language interpreting services

SEATTLE, April 12, 2018/PRWeb/ InDemand Interpreting, a technology-enabled medical interpreting company committed to improving clinical workflow for language access provides a sneak peek of InDemand IDScan at American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) 2018 held April 12 – 15. InDemand is the first video remote interpreting (VRI) provider to offer barcode scanning to increase clinical efficiencies and improve VRI workflow. InDemand IDScan, enables clinicians to save time by scanning the patient’s identification wristband to electronically capture the Medical Record Number (MRN). Use of IDScan increases the accuracy of the MRN information that is logged for each encounter.

InDemand Interpreting partners with healthcare organizations nationwide to bridge the communication gap between limited English proficient (LEP), Deaf and hard of hearing (HOH) patients and their clinicians. InDemand immediately connects healthcare professionals to medically qualified interpreters 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in more than 200 languages, including American Sign Language (ASL) and Certified Deaf Interpreters (CDIs).

The development of the InDemand IDScan capability enables providers to increase clinical efficiencies for video remote interpreting services, particularly within departments where providers are seeking opportunities to save clinicians time.

“InDemand IDScan is yet another example of our commitment to continuous innovation for our clients to improve clinical workflow for language services that support increased efficiencies and ultimately improve the provider and patient experience,” said Mary Kate Salley, Executive Vice President Operations, InDemand Interpreting. “This development reaffirms InDemand as the de facto industry standard for VRI.”

InDemand will be exhibiting InDemand IDScan at AONE in booth #1343. For more information about the new InDemand barcode scanning feature, please contact (206) 489-2706.
